Classic Scubapro MK2 EVO First Stage
The classic downstream piston Scubapro MK2 EVO First Stage has been diving's go-to workhorse for decades. It is reliable and easy to use. Furthermore, it remains budget-friendly and now offers even greater versatility.
The MK2 EVO first stage features the Extended Thermal Insulating System (XTIS). Consequently, you can enjoy an ultra-fast breathing response. Moreover, it delivers maximum airflow with minimal effort, even in cold water. The XTIS achieves this by fully isolating the mechanical elements. This isolation increases freezing resistance by an average of 50% compared to the old MK2.
The Scubapro MK2 EVO First Stage is also more compact than the older MK2. However, it has a bigger piston. This larger piston pumps out 15 percent more airflow from a smaller package. Therefore, expect top-notch breathing performance. This applies whether you are reef diving in the warm Caribbean or wreck diving in the chilly Great Lakes.
